The Photos & The Fun
There's a lot more to racing than just racing, especially at Hallett! This highly regarded road course for auto racing, High Speed Touring, Motorcycle Lapping Days and Professional Go Karts and other miscellaneous venues, (See Hallett Links) is located in the beautiful rolling Osage Hills, (often referred to as Green Country) about 35 miles West of Tulsa and about 90 miles North East of Oklahoma City. It has over 80 feet of elevation change and is considered technically difficult. It has 11 Corner Stations, 10 turns, wide, grassy run-off areas and zero concrete or Armco barriers. Hallett is unique in that it can be run in either clockwise or counter-clockwise directions making it two completely different race courses. Visit Hallett's Official Web Page for complete information and scheduling.
Many people are also surprised to find out how affordable and fun it is to follow that dream and learn how to race, or improve their racing and driving skills. Hallett is now the Headquarters of Stephens Brothers Racing School, LTD, School of High Performance Driving. You don't have to have a drivers license to race, but you SHOULD have a racing license to drive! You'll see men, women & kids taking advantage of this program to brush up on driving skills. And for you Cyclists, there is H.A.R.T., an advanced rider training school.
When you start your day with the already invigorating sounds and aromas of revving engines, squealing tires, burning brakes and mix the beautiful combination of this areas unique habitat and scenery, you have the recipe for a truly commemorative experience. Hallett also is noted for having it's own Track Horticulturist, conveniently located at Station 11. Art is always planting or nursing his array of plants and vegetables both in and around the bunker and tire walls in his spare time.
